Farm Updates

As we head into these last weeks of the season, we’re thrilled to bring you a bounty of delicious goodies! A special send-off, filling your kitchens with seasonal treats to carry you warmly into the rest of November.

For now, we’re giving the kale and collards a short rest, but don’t worry—they’ll be back with even more lush, hearty bunches just in time for the season’s final week. And as for our next planting of arugula, it’s on track to make a timely debut, bringing back premium, peppery greens to elevate your salads one last time this main season. (Many more will be continued in our Winter CSA which begins in December!)

For this week- enjoy our classic lettuce substitute Tokyo Bekana. It won’t be as sweet but it does the trick for a nice fall salad or even with tacos.

You may have also noticed a recent addition to your shares: crisp, delicious apples! These beauties come to us through our amazing partners at Capital Food Bank—Shabach—and have truly been a treat during this challenging season with the dry weather and we’re so grateful to offer them.

To keep things balanced, we’ve been sending a bounty of our produce in return, especially our abundant bok choi and yukina savoy, adding to the diversity of their fresh offerings and helping to reduce food waste together.

So savor these flavors and enjoy the journey with us into the final weeks of harvest! Thank you for your continued support and enthusiasm!!
