Farm Updates:
Having an additional high tunnel this year has been a real relief as we transition into this now-freezing winter. We've also added a third layer of row cover to the greens to help them withstand this week's near-single-digit temperatures.
With these layers, we're gaining a few extra degrees within the micro-climate created underneath. While it’s far from a warm paradise, the greens can tolerate these conditions a bit more.
The snow outside has lingered for quite some time, presenting challenges like running water in these persistently low temperatures. This has driven us indoors not long after a few outdoor chores to focus on planning for the upcoming Main Season CSA, a bit more fireside.
If you wish to sign up for the main season, know you receive a discount for your continued support!

For this week’s shares, we’re leaning on storage crops to get us through the cold weather. This is the perfect time to enjoy a variety of roots from our fantastic cooler. While lettuce and spinach will be ready soon, and freshly dug, super-sweet carrots are on their way, the low temperatures and grey skies mean growth is nearly at a standstill.
So why not embrace the season with simple roasted sweet potatoes and buttery hakurei turnips, creamy mashed rosemary rutabaga, sweet pickled beets, or spicy shredded radishes? There’s plenty of room to get creative in the kitchen!
To request a boxed share or a double for a missed share, please submit request below and we would be happy to accommodate!
